Updates

It's been a while since I last posted.  My computer crashed and that put a damper on my blogging, but now I've got a new computer, and... I'm about to launch a Kickstarter for my first ready-made clothing collection!

Holiday

Check this kickstarter video out - not only is it pretty entertaining, but the fellow with the moustache, Holiday, is wearing the vest that I made for him for his wedding last year.  He's a good guy so help him make his magic if you're into what he's doing.  Here's the link to his kickstarter page.

Recently obtained some wabash stripe canvas.  It's pretty awesome stuff.

Having some major computer problems so posting has been light.  But here's a few things I've been working on.

The canvas bags are for sale on my Etsy page.  Should have a few more odd 'n ends on there in the next couple weeks.

Work Vest, cotton/linen chambray

Playing around with the pattern some more, and testing out a different style watch pocket.

Work Vest, wool lined

Experimenting with a modified version of my work vest pattern.  Haven't attached a buckle, but you get the idea.

Natural Dye

Cotton and a skein of wool using various fleabane, comfrey, and walnut dyes - as done by Miss K.

Difficult to capture the true color, but trust me, a shirt dyed with any of these is going to look great.

Finished a couple 6-panel caps recently.

Women's Chambray Shirt

Drafted and sewed my first women's shirt over the weekend.  Here's the unwashed prototype, really a rough draft.  It needs some re-designing before I'll consider it acceptable.

If I can manage to get it to where I want it to be soon then it'll be part of my forthcoming collection.  If not, then maybe next season.

Beginning

In between some custom orders I've been making time to design a small collection of ready-made garments.  Still in the research and pattern design phase - surrounded by stacks of fabric swatches, pencil sketches, old photo's and older catalogs.  More to come.
