Swing You Sinners, 1931
This one just gets weirder and weirder as it rolls along. Lot's of good one-liners too.

Selvedge Denim Work Vest, v.2; Finished
Finally finished this denim vest for my Grandma' today. I had been waiting over a month for some buckles to arrive, one of the many inconveniences of living on an island 2,000 miles out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The buckles showed up while I was in the South-land at the Firefly Gathering and visiting folks in FLA, so I was unable to finish and deliver the vest by hand as hoped. Otherwise this version came together pretty well. The horseshoe chest pocket was fun to do. Probably won't do the exposed selvedge back seam again though. Also, I'd like to make a four button version next time with a shorter neck drop.
Ingredients: Vintage/antique green-line selvedge denim for the back and pockets*; Cone Mills red-line selvedge denim front; black, late-1800's style two-prong wire buckle, vintage buttons, all cotton thread. Oh yeah, hand-made ceder bark cordage attaching the hang-tag.
