Weekend Project

The grocery getter.  After looking at our faded and stained grocery bags I decided to make this bag last Saturday night.  I usually make a pattern before constructing things, but after a few Highland Flings I just went ahead and made it up as I went along.

Ingredients: vintage mid-century selvedge denim, re-purposed leather belts, copper saddle rivets. Inside pocket not shown.

  1. I love this kind of utility item that will only look even better as it ages and is 'worn in'.

p.s who taught you to sew???

    1. Exactly! I figure it'll take a few years before this really starts looking good.

My Mom showed me how to use a sewing machine when I was 13 or 14. I've taught myself everything else through a lot of trial and error.

      Thanks,

      Russell
